Project Youth Inc, Elaine Roberts – Manager

In 2012, Project Youth Inc retained the services of Esteem Designz to run a school based activities program for girls in Year 6.

The program was crafts based and was structured with the aim of developing the self esteem and social skills of the young participants. It was well developed and the thoughtful activities not only engaged this age group nicely, but also facilitated discussion about topics such as dreams and strengths etc.

The girls engaged well with the facilitator and as well as having lots of fun, and being able to take home the things they made, they also formed good relationships.

Project Youth staff observed an increase in the girls’ confidence, self reliance, and recognition of their own strengths.

There is considerable flexibility within the program to allow it to be adapted to suit different budgets and timeframes.

Project Youth Inc would recommend the program and would run it again.
